Growing up purple had always been my color. My room was always purple. My school supplies were always purple. My book bag. My highlighter. My favorite pen. My favorite sweater. My favorite nail polish. You get the point. So when picking colors for our wedding there was no doubt I wanted the color purple to be invited to the party as well! I am not getting married in purple. I like tradition and I will be wearing an ivory/white dress but I will be wearing purple heels. Or to be more specific: plum. Plum will be our color.
On the picture to your left you can see the exact shade of plum that I will be using. I want the wedding to be Ivory with sparks of plum. Just a hint of it where you can see it and admire it but not get too caught up with it. What you see behind the plum is what will be the border of my veil. I have a crafty mom and she will be making my own veil! <3 She was actually the one who took the photo on the left and texted it to me. She has done so many cute and adorable things for our wedding. The veil will be awesome because she will be making! But also because if you have a crafty mom or friend it is a great way to save a few bucks. Veils can easily be over $300. She spent less than half of that to make my veil. Thanks mom!
The wedding is 7 months away and I cannot wait! I just want to see everything put together already! It’s bitter sweet that all this planning is for an event that takes months to plan and 5 hours to be done and finish with. Many will forget about it. But to our family, Flavio and I, it will last in our hearts forever
